Our Story
Hi we’re Amy and Andrew Campisi. On July 28th, we got the worst news we’ve ever received, “There is no heartbeat.” What seemed like a perfect pregnancy, suddenly wasn’t.
Carter was born on July 29, 2022. Although the day was filled with so much sorrow, it was one of the greatest days of our lives - we got to meet our sweet boy. He was so tiny and perfect! Born at 30 weeks gestation, Carter weighed 2 pounds 14 ounces and was 13 and 3/4 inches long.
Because Carter was so small, we opted not to do an autopsy. The doctor who delivered him said his cord was wrapped tightly twice around his neck. A complete accident took our sweet baby boy.
We created Carter’s Classic in honor of Carter and to raise awareness for pregnancy and infant loss. The loss of a child at any stage can be so isolating. We hope to give back to organizations that helped us and so many others during the most difficult times of our lives.

The Story Carter's Dragonfly
We had our new car parked in our garage and hadn’t left the house in probably about a day. The morning of Carter’s funeral we got in the car and sitting on the dashboard was a baby blue dragonfly!
We told everyone to wear any shade of blue to the service, so the color really stood out to us.
We had to get Andrew's suit from the dry cleaner. The dragonfly stayed on the dashboard during the whole drive. When Andrew got out, he left the door open, but the dragonfly didn't move.
Although Andrew's suit was ready, his shirt wasn't. Andrew returned to the car a bit flustered and the dragonfly flew directly to his hand as if to calm him down!
We drove about 7 minutes down the road, while the dragonfly stayed put on Andrew's hand. Once we got there, Andrew put his hand out the window, and it flew fly away. Carter made his presence known that day, comforted us in a time of need, and will always be our beautiful dragonfly.
